Help Save Darlands

Darlands Conservation Trust urgently needs your help to reach its funding target of £450,000 to help make Darlands a wonderful place for people and wildlife.

We are privileged to have such a special wild space close to our homes but we can’t take it for granted. London’s green belt and open spaces are under threat. Public funding cuts, development of new homes and other infrastructure and climate change are all creating unprecedented pressure.

There is a lot of work to do, restoring, creating and maintaining a mosaic of habitats to support a diverse assembly of wildlife and to ensure Darlands is a safe and enjoyable place to visit.

Darlands Lake has been silting up for many years and now regularly dries up. Urgent action is required to prevent its total loss. Environmentally sensitive excavation by specialists to produce a depth of water capable of supporting a much more diverse array of wildlife is now urgently required.

Charity Raffles

From time to time, we organise raffles, auctions and prize draws, these activities come under the Gambling Act 2005, Small Society Lottery Registration. Our registration No. GASSL/23/67680 was accepted by London Borough of Barnet who monitor our processes and performance on behalf of the community. The funds raised are only used for charitable purposes, no staff are employed by The Darlands Conservation Trust, we are completely volunteer run.

A huge thank you to all our sponsors and supporters for your support. We could never do what we do without your generosity and belief in our mission.
